After the Grind 431™ V1 LCG OD Transmission, – which is a groundbreaking and unique product of its kind – 10 months of hard work followed, which resulted in PROCRAWLER® presented the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission. Grind™ 431 V2 is even lighter, thinner, and better than its predecessor.

69G TOTAL WEIGHT WITH SKID

Insanely light. The 48g net weight and 69g total weight with skid makes the Grind™ 431 V2 LCG OD Transmission the lightest ever in its class.
V1 version already was super light and it’s unbelievable that the V2 version surpassed even that.

ALL-NEW HYPER LIGHTENED, HARDENED AND PINNED CUSTOM CHROMOLY GEARS

Grind™ 431 V2 gears represent a new generation. They lightened their design as much as possible and thanks the pinned mounting they are way narrower than former generation ones.
However, the gears are still super hardened and made of ultra strong and durable chromoly material while the M0.5 modulus teeth ensure ultra smooth running.

31% SWEET SPOT OVERDRIVE

The PROCRAWLER® team spent quite a few hours testing on the rocks and came to the conclusion that 31% as the sweet spot when it comes to overdrive rate. That is why this at value was retained in the Grind™ 431 V2 as well.

Gear ratios must be carefully engineered to properly serve the purpose of use. They spent a lot of time determining the exact value to perfectly fit the needs of pro scale rock crawling.

WRCCA Italia 2022

WRCCA Italia Championship was officially held for the second time on the first weekend of October, on the rocks of Montegrino Valtravaglia, Italy. Andrea Ceresini told us about the event, who achieved good results, 2nd place in Sportman and 3rd place in PRO categories.

The Courses

The organizers of the competition held 5 courses, in 3 categories: 2.2 PRO, 2.2 Sportsman and Performance Scale. And an extra challenge, a small and nice comp in 2 night courses on Saturday evening. There were 30 drivers in the Performance Scale category.

The very technical courses saw the strongest drivers challenge each other to the last gate. One of the most exciting competition was certainly the Performance Scale category, because the gaps in the first 3 positions left no possibility of error for the competitors. The comps were very exciting and in many cases the time or a few points was decisive for the positions.

Andrea said it was a very exciting competition as the strongest drivers were forced to keep their concentration strong until the end!

PROCRAWLER® team’s Factory Driver Massimo Bonvini and Team Driver Alessandro Mariani were also able to stand on the podium. At the WRCCA Italia 2021 Championship, Massimo Bonvini took 1st place and Alessandro Mariani took 2nd place in Performance Scale category.

ASTS – Austrian Scale Team Series 2022 Round 4

The last, Round 4 of the ASTS – Austrian Scale Team Series 2022 competition was held in Retz, Austria this weekend. PROCRAWLER® Factory Driver, Lukas Klapfer from Austria, told us about this comp.

The location

The competition area was basically a Trial Motorcycle Club and Area with a lot of nature rock formations aswell as rough rock terain and woods. The food, camping, and showering were possible on the location, and electrical supplies were also provided.

The Courses

Lukas said that the courses are always tough and very different every spot you choose for the courses. This year was a very hard one in the rough rock section which also was impossible to clear every gate clean for the best drivers.

The Class 1 and Class 2 is driving in teams of 3-4 drivers and have to help each other to conquer the course with ropes, sandladders and so on. It’s more like a adventure or safari but gate penalty’s and time is still important.

PROCRAWLER® drivers started in Class 3, which is more like a traditional crawler comp close to the International Pscale rigs and rules but still a little different. Class 3 is allowed to use a winch or a flexible rope to clear the hard hillclimbs or the rescue the car from stuck.

Round 4 was the last event of the ASTS – Austrian Scale Team Series this year. The series usually starts in May and ends in October. Best way to follow the event is on Facebook where the dates and even information links will be postet weeks before the event, but it is also possible to register on the spot.
